Barry Barto is a two-time All-American midfielder at Philadelphia University (1971 and 1972). In 1972, Barto placed second in the NASL Rookie of the Year balloting. Barto was manager of the Philadelphia Adams in 1973 and played on the NASL championship team that same year. He was captain of the US National Team in 1974 and 1975. As a coach at Textile, Barto posted a successful record of 85-15-6 (.830). His teams made trips to the NCAA Final Four in 1978 and 1981.
