The 2014 women’s lacrosse team was the best in program history, finishing with a 17-1 record. Jefferson went on a 17-game winning streak—a program record that still stands. The Rams went 11-0 in conference play and won the CACC Championship.
The team boasted six CACC All-Conference players (three First Team, two Second Team, one Honorable Mention), the CACC Player of the Year (Libby Nichols Ritter), and the CACC Coach of the Year (George Chis-Luca). Nichols Ritter and Melissa (Styer) Lanning were named to the IWLCA Senior All-Star Game while earning NCAA All-Region honors, the first in program history.
The roster also included eight CACC All-Academic honorees, as well as the 2013-14 CACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year (Libby Nichols Ritter). The Rams ranked first in the nation in scoring offense (17.56), third in winning percentage (.944), fourth in draw controls (16.00), fifth in scoring margin (4.50), and ninth in ground balls per game (24.72) during their championship season.
