Lincoln University, PA- The Philadelphia
University Lady Rams (1-0, 0-0 CACC) set the tempo for their 2010
season with a season-opening 3-0 victory over the Lincoln
University Lions (0-1, 0-0 CIAA) on Thursday night at Manuelo
Rivero Hall.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-8 and 25-15.
The match had special meaning for the Lions, as it was the
University's first-ever competition as an active NCAA Division II
member.
PhilaU sophomore middle hitter Ellie
Edgar (Cuyahoga Falls, OH/ Cuyahoga Falls) and rookie
outside hitter Leanna
Lillge (Ixonia, WI/ Water Town) both led the squad
offensively with eight kills each. Junior setter Lauren
Hoover helped the Lady Rams with 15 set assists.
Freshman setter Heather
Martin (Leola, PA/ Conestoga Valley) added five set
assists in the win.
LU was led by Noel Webster's five kills.
