Women's Volleyball Season Ends in CACC Quarterfinals
WATERBURY, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University women's volleyball (12-13) played in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship Quarterfinals as the No.4 seed in the South division. They competed against the North division No.1 seed Post University (25-4). The Rams would get upended by the Eagles 3-0 and have their season end in the first round of the CACC tournament.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson went in a hole early as Post took the first 13 points in the first set, eventually winning 25-8
- The Rams took the first point of the set, but couldn't stop the Eagles earning multiple runs that had them fall 25-12 in the second set and down 2-0 in the game
- Jefferson looked to get back in the match as they earned three points in a row twice that had them up 16-9 over the top-seed Post. The Eagles came back and went to take match point 24-23. The Rams secured the next two and had their own match point but couldn't capitalize as Post went to win the third set 27-25 and sweep Jefferson in the first round of tournament play
