Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
volleyball team (19-2, 8-1 CACC) put themselves within one match of
a 20-win season with a 3-0 victory at Chestnut Hill College (4-14,
0-8 CACC) on Monday evening. The Lady Rams were led by senior
right-side hitter Nicole Berkstresser
(Bridgewater, NJ/ Raritan-Bridgewater) who had a team-high 11
kills, along with one dig and two block assists.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-18 and 25-8.
PhilaU held CHC to a -.106 attack percentage, while hitting .327
themselves.
PhilaU senior defensive specialist Natalie
Amodei (West Chester, PA/ Bishop Shanahan) had a team-high
14 digs and two service aces, while sophomore outside-hitter
Rebekah Waybrant added eight kills and four digs
on the night.
Junior setter Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore,
MI/Anchor Bay) led her squad with 21 assists.
Next up for the Lady Rams will be Millersville on the road on
Wednesday (10/7) at 7:00 p.m.
