No.25 Baseball Takes Setback Against No.21 Millersville
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University baseball (8-5), who just entered the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) top-25 as No.25, went up against D2Baseball No.21 ranked Millersville University (10-3) on Wednesday afternoon action. The Rams held the Marauders to two runs early on, but with six scored in the final two dropped Jefferson to a 8-3 defeat against Millersville.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Millersville got on the board first as an error put the Rams down 1-0. A single to the right side for the Marauders added it to 2-0
- The Rams kept getting on bases but were unable to make it to homeplate
- Millersville snuck two more runs in the eighth off a two-run single on the right side. They completed their day at bat with four runs in the top of the ninth, making their lead 8-0
- Jefferson ended their day getting three runs from an Alexander Angulo single, a wild pitch, and a grounded out that got another runner home to end the day with a 8-3 defeat
- Gabe Silva ended the day pitching six innings, giving up three hits and two runs with four strikeouts
- Will Hoffman pitched two innings while Ricky Harrison finished the day in the ninth
