Women's Volleyball Upset Bid Comes Up Short; Upended by Post in Five

PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's volleyball (6-10) went up against Post University (16-3, 7-0) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday. The Rams went against the Eagles, who are currently in the top spot in the CACC North, and took them to their limits as they made went to five sets. The upset bid did not come through fruition as Jefferson dropped 3-2 to Post. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

• Jefferson got off to the right foot, taking the first set 25-15. A six-point run late in the set helped them secure the victory and the early lead. The Eagles went to secure victories in the second and third set to be up 2-1 over the Rams 

• Jefferson refused to go down and took the fourth set 25-21 to force a fifth set on the day. The Eagles went to defeat the Rams 15-5 and win the series 

• Emily McKenna had 23 kills with Alexa Pomeroy following behind as she ha 16 over her own. Meredith Adams laid out 50 assists while Brianna Gritzman earned 19 digs. Liz Tanis and Jaysa Even produced four and three blocks respectively
