Rams Leave USP Scoreless Winning 3-0

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University baseball team (12-19, 9-9 CACC) defeated The University of the Sciences 3-0 in their Thursday afternoon (4/29) game.

Freshman pitcher, Russell Trojan (Springfield, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) pitched all nine innings getting seven strikeouts in the game and also getting the win.

Offensively, the team was led by sophomore second baseman, Dan Hennigan (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown) West and junior third baseman Anthony DiFrancesco (Landenberg, PA/Salesianum) who each had three hits.

The Rams started scoring in the sixth inning with a double from senior first baseman, Rob Fisher (Langhorne, PA/Archbishop Ryan) which brought in DiFrancesco, making the score 1-0.

In the seventh inning, the Rams scored two more runs, making it a 3-0 game, and holding off USP the next two innings.

The Rams will face off against Nyack on Saturday (5/1) at Alumni Field, with a twelve o' clock start time.
