Three Baseball Players Named to All-CACC Second Team
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University baseball saw three Rams make the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Conference Team this morning, as announced by the conference office this morning.
Andrew Holub,
Justin Egner, and
Aleksei Goldhill all made the All-CACC Second Team.
ANDREW HOLUB – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
Holub gets his first CACC All-Conference award in his career after leading the team with a .392 batting average, ranking him fourth in the CACC, in 44 appearances for Jefferson, with 43 being starts. He was 65-of-166 at-bat with 40 runs, 16 doubles, a triple, 10 homeruns, and 65 RBI's on the season. Holub's 1.48 Runs Batted in Per Game ranks him 11th in Division II. He holds a .921 fielding percentage on the infield this season. The Bronxville, N.Y. native has a .681 slugging percentage and a .487 on-base percentage. Holub was named CACC Player of the Week once and made the CACC Honor Roll twice on the season.
JUSTIN EGNER – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
Egner gets his Second All-Conference honors in his career after making the All-CACC Second Team last season. He is second on the team in batting average with a .353 as he made 41 appearances for Jefferson, with all of them being starts. He went 54-of-153 at-bat with 40 runs, 11 doubles, and five homeruns alongside 31 RBI's. The Hatfield, Pa. native has a .523 slugging percentage and a .480 on-base percentage. Egner is tied for first in the conference with 1.22 Runs-Per-Game and second in Base on Ball Per Game with a .073 percentage. He was named CACC Player of the Week once this season.
ALEKSEI GOLDHILL – ALL-CACC SECOND TEAM
Goldhill earns his first collegiate All-Conference honors as he was third on the Rams squad with a .338 batting average. He went 48-of-142 at-bat in 41 starts for Jefferson, registering 50 runs, 13 doubles, a triple, and two homeruns on the year with 31 RBI's under his belt. The New York, N.Y. native is tied with his teammate Egner in the CACC in Runs Per Game with 1.22 on the year.
