Warriors Down Rams 12-2 in Night Game at Nyack

The Philadelphia University baseball team lost a 12-2 decision at Nyack College on Tuesday night.  The Rams are now 9-16 overall on the year and 8-4 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

Warriors sophomore pitcher Phil Messerian (Fairlawn, N.J.) pitched seven innings, giving up one unearned run on three hits while walking two and striking out 16 Ram batters.  With the victory Nyack improves to 8-17 overall and 6-7 in the CACC.

Messerian also helped out his own cause in the game as he went 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and three RBI's.  Dan Wothers (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen; pictured) collected two of Philadelphia University's five hits on the night.

The Rams are is back in action tomorrow when they host University of the Sciences in a nine-inning conference game at 3:30 p.m. on Alumni Field.
