BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University baseball (6-10, 5-4) took on the University of Bridgeport (9-9, 5-4) in a single Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest on Sunday where the Rams fell to the Purple Knights 11-8.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson began quickly with a Justin Egner RBI single through the right side while Andrew Holub had an RBI double down the right line for an early 2-1 lead

- Bridgeport countered with a Anthony Armenia two-run homerun in the top of the sixth inning. Egner's sacrifice flyout in the bottom of the same inning turned it back to a three score game
- The Purple Knights went to put up six runs in the top of the seventh as two wild pitch scores, a single to centerfield, and a three-run homerun had Jefferson trail 9-6
- Another homerun and a walk with the bases loaded turned it to a five run deficit for Jefferson. Egner's one run double in the eighth and a Braden Reiter RBI single to the right center had the Rams down by three scores but ultimately fell 11-8 to Bridgeport
