Softball Picked Third in CACC Coaches' Preseason Poll

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Thomas Jefferson University softball looks to continue their success at the end of the season and bring it to the new year as the Rams were ranked third in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Coaches' Preseason Poll, announced by the conference office this morning. The Rams also earned a first-place vote in the poll as well.

Jefferson comes into the season with a 16-26 record while going 13-9 in the CACC, their first winning record in conference play since 2021. The Rams had a Rookie of the Year and All-CACC First Team player from last year while earning All-Region honors from multiple organizations. The team earned a home playoff game and made the Elimination Portion of the Bracket in the CACC Championship Tournament last season. Jefferson's third rank spot is the highest position the Rams have received in the Preseason Poll since 2011 where the Rams were ranked fourth twice during that timespan (2011 and 2018). The team also earned a first-place vote in the poll, a first for the team as well. Head coach Bob Baginski leads Jefferson in his third season and looks to keep making strides in the conference.

Jefferson begins their year down at Winston Salem, N.C. as the Rams compete in four games in two days as they take on Mid-Atlantic Christian University and Winston-Salem State University on Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15. The first game will be against Mid-Atlantic Christian at 10 a.m.
