Bobadilla and Baez Receive CACC Weekly Awards


NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University baseball had two players receive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Weekly Award honors this week for competition that ran through March 10-16, as announced by the conference office this afternoon. Albert Bobadilla took home Pitcher of the Week and Kevin Baez earned Rookie of the Week.

ALBERT BOBADILLA – PITCHER OF THE WEEK 
Bobadilla delivered a dominant performance on the mound, pitching a complete game no-hitter for Jefferson in game two against Lincoln University (Pa.) on Friday. He threw all seven innings, allowing no hits while striking out 11 batters to lead the Rams to a 12-2 victory over the Lions. Bobadilla finished the game with a 0.00 ERA and an impressive 0.14 WHIP. 

KEVIN BAEZ - ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Baez had a complete game against Lincoln on Saturday in game two where he pitched for eight innings in a 6-1 win over the Lions. He was on the mound the entire game, allowing two hits and one earned run on the day while striking out a career-high 12 batters at the plate. Baez ended the day with a 1.13 ERA and .75 WHIP for the one appearance.

Bobadilla, Baez, and the Rams return to action on Tuesday, March 18, when they travel to face Caldwell University at 3 p.m.
