Men's Basketball Wins Close Match Against The College of Staten Island
PHILADELPHIA, PA - After dropping the lead at the end of the first half, Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball (5-2) battled to stay on top in the second. Tied 62-62 at the end of the match, Sean Fullerton can make a three-point shot, taking the lead and victory over the College of Staten Island (3-4).
WHAT HAPPENED

Blake Wilson was also good for a three pointer that brought the Dolphins to nine overall, but the Rams proceeded to go on a six-point run. Asa Kone is good for his two free throws, and JJ Chestnut adds another two after a layup, trailing the rams by four.

Hawkins claims three points for the Rams keeping them ahead 20-17, until Wilson also gets three of his own to tie it up. Justin Zieris scores two points after successful free throws, but Thomas-McClain puts up three quickly after. The Dolphins had a quick turnaround scoring the next seven points and claiming the lead at the end of the first half.

Jeremiah Dorsey wastes no time quickly putting up three points for the Rams in the first 20 seconds. Both teams trade points and find themselves tied at 36-36. Ashton Miller, Fullerton and Hawkins collected six points, while Zieris and Wilson could only put up three.

The Rams continued their run with Thomas-McClain scoring back-to-back three point shots increasing their lead to 49-39. Messiah Mallory, Chestnut, and Goldstein all put up shots leaving them within three points of the Rams. The Dolphins tied it once more at 62-62 but they cannot come back after Farouk Kaba, Miller, and Fullerton make their shots at the end of the half leaving Jefferson ahead 65-62.
