PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University baseball team (5-7) dropped a pair of contests to visiting Franklin Pierce (9-2) on Saturday.
GAME ONE – L, 7-2
The Ravens tallied three runs in the second on a single, a wild pitch, and a delayed steal. The Rams got one back in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by
Diego Santiago. FPU took a 5-1 lead with a two-run third, scoring an error and an RBI single.
Both teams pushed a run across in the fourth. The Ravens hit a run-scoring single and
Gabe Silva doubled in a run for Jefferson. Franklin Pierce tacked on an insurance run with an RBI groundout in the sixth.

GAME TWO – L, 6-3
The Ravens opened the scoring in the first with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single to take a 2-0 lead.
Gabe Silva got the Rams within one in the bottom of the first with a two-out RBI single. Franklin Pierce upped the margin to three in the third, scoring on a wild pitch and a base hit.
Joe Cencetti blasted a two-run homer in the fourth and Jefferson trailed 4-3. The Ravens tallied one run in the fifth and sixth innings to go ahead 6-3. The Rams were unable to score again, leaving a runner on in each of the last three frames.
