PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team (4-2, 1-0 CACC) erased a halftime deficit with a 14-3 run to start the second half and held off Wilmington (Del.), 67-60, in the conference opener at the Gallagher Center on Wednesday.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams got off to a good start, taking a 7-3 lead in the first half. However, the Wildcats rallied for 14 consecutive points to go ahead 17-7. With the score 21-12, Jefferson poured in seven in a row to close the gap to two (21-19) with 3:46 on the clock. Wilmington stopped the run and took a four-point advantage (27-23) into the intermission.

Jefferson came out hot to start the second, scoring 14 of the first 17 points to take the lead 37-30.
Erik Timko led the charge with a trio of three-pointers. The Wildcats got within two (37-35) but
Deondre Bourne answered with a three for the Rams. Jefferson led by as many as nine (50-41) but Wilmington cut it to three (58-55) with 2:21 to go. However, the Wildcats went cold down the stretch, shooting just 2-of-7, and the Rams went 7-for-8 at the line to close out the win.
