PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team (5-2) defeated visiting Lincoln (Pa.) 87-75 in non-conference action on Saturday.

GAMEPLAY
After the Rams opened the scoring with a layup, the Lions answered with back-to-back threes to take a 6-2 lead. However, Jefferson came back with a 10-0 run to go ahead 12-6.
Deondre Bourne tallied five points,
Erik Timko hit a three, and
Antonin Kemkeng added a layup.

After another Kemkeng layup made the score 15-7, Lincoln posted seven straight points to get within one (15-14). The Rams put an end to the rally with an emphatic 12-2 surge for their largest lead of the half (27-16). Bourne led the way with six points, Timko scored four, and Kemkeng had two. With the score 30-19, the Lions clawed their way back with nine points in a row to close the gap to two (30-28) with 2:22 on the clock. Jefferson took a 35-30 advantage into halftime.

In the second half, it was a four-point game (39-35) at the 18:04 mark. The Rams then upped the margin to 12 (47-35) with an 8-0 run. Lincoln cut the deficit to four (51-47) with 12:11 to go but another Jefferson surge, this one with nine straight points, gave the Rams a 60-47 advantage with 9:48 remaining. That was the final run Jefferson needed as the Lions only got within eight the rest of the way and the Rams led by as many as 15 down the stretch.
