PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University volleyball team (17-4, 8-4 CACC) suffered a 3-0 setback at Holy Family on Thursday evening.

GAMEPLAY
The Tigers opened the match with three straight points. The Rams came back to even the score at five but HFU strung together another three points to take an 8-5 lead. The Tigers had their largest margin of six (16-10) before Jefferson started to come back. The Rams had a 7-1 run to tie the score at 18. The teams were still even at 22 apiece before Holy Family won the set with three of the last four.

Jefferson jumped out to an 10-4 advantage in the second stanza. The Rams led 12-6 when the Tigers roared back with six consecutive points to even the score. Jefferson later led 17-16 but the host responded with seven of the next eight to go in front 23-18. Holy Family went on to win the frame 25-20.

HFU began the third set with three points. The Rams got within one on two occasions but the Tigers held them off and never trailed on the way to a 25-21 win to clinch the match.
