PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University volleyball team (18-4, 9-4 CACC) topped city rival Chestnut Hill, 3-0, in a CACC match on Wednesday night.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams started strong, scoring the first five points of the match. The Griffins, however, came back to take 10-9 lead. Jefferson was ahead 20-19 before pulling away to make it 24-20. CHC fended off three set points but the Rams ultimately claimed the frame 25-23.

The Griffins opened up a 6-3 advantage in the second set but the Rams rallied to tie it at seven. The teams were even at 15 when Jefferson surged forward with a 6-1 run. Chestnut Hill got back within one but the Rams again won by a 25-23 score.

Jefferson dominated the third set, jumping out to a 12-0 lead and never looking back on the way to a 25-9 triumph. The Rams hit .407 in the final frame.
