Philadelphia – The Thomas Jefferson University Women's Rowing team made impacts on and off campus this year.

The rowing team volunteered their time with organizations/events such as the Rock N Roll Philadelphia Marathon, Head of the Schuylkill Regatta, and the Red Cross Blood Drive. Besides the big events, they made bigger impacts on campus and in the local community with events such as "Take What You Need Board" and their "Holiday Card Making" campaign. For the "Take What You Need Board", the team gathered to create post-it notes for their fellow students during finals week. The post-it notes were transferred onto a poster-board and then hung in the Kanbar Center for easy access to any students that needed a little more motivation during a stressful time like exam week.

The team gathered before winter break and made holiday cards for patients that were in the hospital over the holidays. They wanted to bring some cheer to people who were having a hard time during the holiday season. The cards were distributed to patients at the Roxborough Memorial Hospital, which is located 1 mile from campus.

After the College of Holy Cross Women's Crew team was involved in serious car accident while in Florida, which resulted in many injuries and the death of a team member. The Rams held a fundraiser for the College of Holy Cross team. For every 1,000 meters, they rowed $1 was donated. The teamed erged up to 10,000 meters a person and they were able to donate over $350 dollars to the College of Holy Cross crew team.
