The Rams had 18 kills with only one error to easily take the match's opening set. Philadelphia, with the help of three kills each by Wensel and Hughes, went on a 17-5 surge to break a 4-all tie and take a 21-9 advantage. The lead reached 14 twice during the set, once on a Felician attack error to make the score 24-10 and again on Wensel's fourth kill to win the set. Hughes had a team-high five kills in set one.

In the second set, Philadelphia used a 7-1 run to distance itself from the visitors. With the Rams leading 10-9, Justus started the run with her team-leading fourth kill of the set. Philadelphia has helped out by five Felician errors. The Golden Falcons closed the Ram advantage to 19-16 on a Lanyse Castro kill, but the Rams scored six of the last nine points to claim the set.

Philadelphia had to overcome an early 4-1 deficit at the beginning of the third set. The Rams scored three quick points, two on Wensel kills, to erase the gap and tie the score at four. Later in the set, the Rams—like in the first two sets—went on a big run to lock up the match. Philadelphia went on a 13-2 tear that included two Chai service aces, and two kills each from Manley and Laucella to make the score 20-9. The Golden Falcons got as close as 24-19, but the Rams survived the set thanks to a Felician service error.

Carmen Shaw led Felician with seven kills, while Niccole Soriano added 18 digs.

Philadelphia heads to Goldey-Beacom for a CACC contest on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.
