Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University senior outside hitter Brittany Olson (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) was selected to the All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball first team on Tuesday.
Olson, an all-CACC honorable mention selection in 2011, is leading the team and 12th in the CACC in kills per set (2.83). She is also team leader with 277 kills, which is 17th in the conference. Olson ranks third on the Rams in digs (274) and fourth in hitting percentage (.214).
This season, she recorded a career-high 26 kills in a four-set win over Wilmington on Oct. 23, and a career-best 23 digs at Millersville on Oct. 22 and against Chestnut Hill on Oct. 25.
Olson is fifth in school history with 1,258 career digs, eighth with 880 career kills, and ninth with 113 career service aces.
Philadelphia (18-8, 17-2 CACC) hosts Dominican (N.Y.) in the first round of the CACC Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Gallagher Center.
