Box Score PHILADELPHIA – Forward Kyle Ferrier scored the game-tying goal with 3:51 left in regulation to keep the Philadelphia University men's soccer team unbeaten in 2012 as it earned a 3-3 draw with visiting Post in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Saturday afternoon on Ravenhill Field.
Ferrier broke free from a crowd in the penalty area and took a pass from forward Victor Chagonda. His shot from about 12 yards out found the back of the net for his first goal of the year and helped the Rams take a point.
Philadelphia, who is ranked eighth in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Continental Tire Division II East Region Poll, is now 3-0-3 overall and 1-0-2 in the CACC. The six-match unbeaten streak to open the season is the longest since the Rams went 6-0-1 to begin 1999.
Post is now 2-1-2 overall and 0-0-2 in the CACC.
The Eagles wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Francis Eno was left alone in penalty area and buried a right-footed shot to give his a 1-0 lead in the third minute. Joe Baccielo picked up an assist by delivering a centering pass from the right wing.
In the dying minutes of the first half, defender David Lawrence tied the score at 1-1 by heading-in a corner kick taken by midfielder Sean Crossland.
Eno struck again in the 55th minute to put Post back in the lead at 2-1 after forcing a turnover by Rams' keeper Neil Kwiatkowski and tapped the ball into the open net.
Philadelphia took advantage of another Crossland corner kick to knot the match back up in the 60th minute. His kick found the right foot of defender Travis Lobb, who one-touched the ball into the net for his second goal of the season.
In the 83rd minute, Eno completed his hat-trick with a 35-yard strike which bounced off the crossbar into the upper-right corner.
Post's Errol Reid made five saves, while Kwiatkowski didn't make any. The Rams outshot the Eagles, 18-13.
Philadelphia will look to push its unbeaten streak to seven when it welcomes Wilmington (Del.) to campus for a CACC match on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 4 pm.
