senior guard Russell Frederick (Baltimore, MD/
Calvert Hall) stole the show in a 69-59 win for PhilaU (10-6, 3-1
CACC) over the Felician College Falcons (10-3, 3-1 CACC) on
Saturday afternoon at the Gallagher Athletic Center.
Frederick set a new career-high with 31 points and added five
boards and four steals.
The Rams outshot the Falcons from the floor (51%-36%) and from
the three-point mark (43%-7%).
FC's Andrew August chipped in 14 points for his squad.
PhilaU senior forward Malcolm Ingram
(Philadelphia, PA/ Solebury Prep) gave the Rams the 14-13 go-ahead
on a layup at 11:54 in the first half and his squad would stay
afloat for the rest of the contest. Ingram had 15 points, six
boards and two steals on the night.
The Rams led 36-26 at the half.
A second-half layup by PhilaU senior guard Marcus
Lemon (Alexandria, VA/ T.C. Williams) gave the Rams their
biggest lead at 48-33 at 13:30.
PhilaU senior forward Mike Yocum (Dresher, PA/
Episcopal Academy) set a new career-high in blocks with seven,
terrorizing Falcon shooters for most of the night. He added
six points and four steals to his line.
FC got within five with under two minutes to play (58-53), but
PhilaU grinded it out to hold on for a 69-59 victory.
The Rams hit the road for their next contest- a Thursday (1/14)
match-up at Lincoln University, slated for 7:00 p.m.
