Selected in the 26th round of the 2017 MLB Entry Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks… In his three-year career with the Rams, Almonte appeared in 33 games and posted a 9-6 overall record and the second-best earned run average in school history of 2.41…He fanned 125 batters in 112 innings of work….Almonte threw the first no-hitter since 1999 on April 3, 2015 in a 7-0 victory over Lincoln (Pa.).
