WATERBURY, Conn. (Oct. 3, 2026) – Senior defender
Dillan Sorino (Pennsauken, N.J. / Camden Catholic) of the Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team netted a late winner to help the Rams defeat a game Post University team on the road and keep TJU perfect in CACC play this season.
Senior
Alexa Callahan (West Chester, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan) struck first for the Rams at approximately the 12th minute. From there, on, Jefferson would endure one of the most unusual games this season to date. The Eagles' starting keeper did well to deny 13 Jefferson shots over the full time, which, following a Post equalizer in the second half, nearly gave the home team a hard-earned point in the conference standings.
Despite Jefferson dominating possession, dominating all shooting metrics (season-high 41 shots, 15 on goal), the game remained even for over 30 minutes until Sorino finally hit paydirt with seven minutes to go in regulation. Sophomore goalkeeper
Kali Reddy (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) drew her first start of the season, and earned the win despite not seeing a single shot on net. Jefferson defenders
Jane DeVoll (Newark, Del. / Charter School of Wilmington) and
Jamie Webb (Line Lexington, Pa. / North Penn) did well to limit Post's scoring opportunities and turn any feasible scoring opportunity for the Eagles into a Rams counter attack.
Head Coach
Michelle Jaquette and the Rams will look to extend their perfect run in the CACC, but not before they host Lincoln University on Tuesday, Oct. 6 for a 3 p.m. game. Due to various weather cancellations, postponements and venue changes, Tuesday's game is slated to be the Rams' first home contest at Ravenhill Field this season.
