Henry, Murphy Lead Offensive Onslaught Versus Lincoln

The Rams scored a season-high six goals in their first game at Ravenhill Field in 2026

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (Oct. 6, 2026) – Led by senior Sophia Henry (Deptford, N.J. / Deptford Township) and freshman Erika Murphy (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin), the Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team had little trouble making it a perfect 5-0 start in conference play with a 6-1 win over Lincoln University.

Tuesday's game would be the Rams' first home game contested on Ravenhill Field after inclement weather and poor playing conditions have continually interfered with the early-season schedule.

Once on their home field, however, Jefferson wasted little time in making its presence felt. From the onset, Henry dominated the midfield and bombed home her first goal of the game from more than 30 yards out on her team's very first possession. It would be the first of 17 Jefferson shots in the first half as the Rams' starting lineup looked to leave their mark on the outcome. Freshman Jalina Gonzalez (Fleetwood, Pa. / Fleetwood) saw several early game chances, but got her third goal of the season to fall 19 minutes in off passes from senior Kyra Lesko (Pennsburg, Pa. / Upper Perkiomen) and sophomore Isa Geoghan (Hazlet, N.J. / Raritan).

Henry would strike again on the ensuing Jefferson possession, firing a picture-perfect penalty into the top of the net for Jefferson's third goal of the game. Henry figured to have a hat trick on a shot from even deeper out in her first during the second half, but the goal would be called back thanks to a car alarm going off.

The aforementioned Murphy, along with sophomore Annika Jurik (Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Vista), would account for the Rams' remaining offense in the game, with all goals coming in the first half of play. Murphy, who came off the bench, made good on both her scoring chances with assists coming from sophomore Sydney Artache (Readington, N.J. / Hunterdon Central Regional) on the first goal and from junior Izzy Alexandre (Brighton, N.Y. / Brighton) and senior Dillan Sorino (Pennsauken, N.J. / Camden Catholic) on the second goal.

Head Coach Michelle Jaquette and the Rams will look to remain perfect in the CACC when they travel to Felician University on Sunday, Oct. 11 for a 2 p.m. game.
