No.12 Women's Soccer Takes Down Georgian Court

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - No.12 nationally-ranked Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (6-1, 2-0) headed on the road and competed in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action against Georgian Court University (0-5, 0-2). The Rams ended up recording their fifth shutout on the year with a 2-0 win over the Lions. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

• Jefferson controlled the pacing of the game as they took 26 shots on the day, 15 in the first half, while holding Georgian Court to six attempts 

• Gianna Garozzo netted a goal in the 24th minute to give the Rams a 1-0 lead that they would maintain throughout the entire first half 

• Nikki Dedes hit her third goal on the year in the 73rd minute to end the day with a Jefferson 2-0 win 

• Carly Hayman adds her third shutout on the year without facing any threat at the net

LONGEST CONFERENCE WIN STREAK
The Rams won their 18th straight CACC contest, breaking the school record of 17 set back in 2005-06 and 2011-12 seasons. Jefferson's streak dates back to October 13, 2023. The last time the Rams didn't win a conference game was on October 11, 2023 when they tied with Georgian Court. Their last loss came in October 25, 2022.
