Five Goals Keeps #12 Women's Soccer Conference Unbeaten Streak Intact Over Dominican
PHILADELPHIA – No.12 nationally-ranked Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (7-1, 3-0) competed in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Homecoming weekend when the Rams took on Dominican University of New York (2-4-2, 1-3). Jefferson scored four goals in the first 11 minutes of action as they went to dominate the Chargers 5-0.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Most of the Rams attack happened early on. Alexa Callahan put the first goal up off a Evelin Ventura-Garcia pass at the 3rd minute. Gianna Garozzo took a free kick from Carly Yeager to make it 2-0, then followed it up by another score at the 10th minute off a second Ventura-Garcia pass
- Kyra Lesko put scoring attack to rest in the first half, scoring a goal from a Nikki Dedes assist at the 11th minute as Jefferson went up 4-0
- The Rams started to get the rest of their roster on the field to play out the match
- The last goal came in the beginning of the second half. Ella Berger hit a free kick that bounced behind the Chargers defense, giving Ella Ballow the opportunity to kick the ball past the goalie and make her first career goal
- Jefferson took 16 shots on the day with 10 on goal while Dominican had three attempts all day. Kali Reddy and Julia Rath did not have one attempt threaten them during their time in the goal

Since then, the Rams have went 24-0-1 in their conference matchups (only non-win was a tie against Georgian Court on October 11, 2023). They currently are on a 19 conference game win streak, which dates back to October 13, 2023. Both current streaks are school records.
