Women's Tennis Drops Road Contest to No.37 St. Thomas Aquinas
SPARKILL, N.Y. – Thomas Jefferson University women's tennis (9-15) competed against nationally-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas College (12-4) on Monday afternoon action, where the Rams fell to the Spartans 6-1.
WHAT HAPPENED
- St. Thomas Aquinas won the doubles point by taking the first and second position games. Emily Frost and Rose Huang won their doubles match in the third spot with a 7-6 (7-3) victory, but the Rams trailed heading into the singles matches
- The Spartans took the third and second position points before Alycia Veroux went to three sets to earn the win in the first spot. Huang went three sets, including a 7-6 (7-5) defeat in the first set. Frost dropped in two sets, but took the second set to a 7-6 (11-9) game
