Men's Tennis Gets First Victory in Best-of-Three Series Against Chestnut Hill
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's tennis (6-5, 1-0) began their best-of-three series in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) against Chestnut Hill College (3-7, 0-1). The Rams took all three doubles matches and five of the six singles contests to earn the 6-1 win over the Griffins in the first meeting between these two teams.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson took all three doubles matches, with Mario Antiono and Filip Slavkovic winning 6-1 in the first spot, with Enrique Soto Ballester and Anthony Moukarzel taking the second position by the same score. Jules Thibault and Antonio Mateos Melenchon secured the third spot by a 7-5 score
- The Rams went on to win the second, fifth, sixth, third, and fourth singles matches in that order as Moukarzel, Soto Ballester, Johary Rabetrano, Thibault, and Mateos Melenchon all earned victories to take the first game against the Griffins
