Jefferson Women's Lacrosse Crushes Bridgeport with Commanding 18-4 Win
PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team (4-5, 2-0) earned a well-fought 18-4 win over Bridgeport (2-4, 1-1) on Saturday afternoon at Ravenhill Field.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson wasted no time scoring six goals in just the first quarter with Reagan Rogers and Iris Gluck scoring two times each.
- They maintained this momentum throughout the second quarter to deliver an impressive 11-3 lead over the Purple Knights.
- The Rams did not let their guard down in the last two quarters. As a result of Jefferson's strong defense, Bridgeport only managed to score one final time in the game in the third quarter.
- Jefferson's offense was relentless and powered on to score seven more goals, three of which were scored by Emily Ryder.
- Taylor Hood locked in the win scoring the last goal with 1:13 left in the game.
