Women's Lacrosse Dominates Holy Family in 16-6 Victory
PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team (3-5, 1-0) delivered a commanding 16-6 win over Holy Family (1-5, 1-1) on Wednesday afternoon at Ravenhill Field, securing a key victory.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Jefferson women's lacrosse team secured a dominant 16-6 victory over Holy Family on the road at Tiger Field. After a slow first quarter with only one goal, Jefferson exploded in the second, scoring six times to take a commanding 7-1 lead at halftime.
- The Rams continued their offensive surge in the third quarter, outscoring Holy Family 6-3, and closed the game strong with three more goals in the fourth.
- Taylor Hood led the charge with five goals, while Meaghan Avanzato and Reagan Rogers each recorded hat tricks. Rogers also dished out four assists, contributing to Jefferson's well-rounded attack.
- The Rams controlled possession throughout the game, winning 20 draw controls compared to Holy Family's five, allowing them to dictate the pace.
- Holy Family struggled to generate consistent offense, with Taina Harkins leading the Tigers with two goals. Despite some strong individual efforts, including nine saves from goalkeeper Morgan Steck, Holy Family was unable to slow down Jefferson's relentless attack.
