Men's Tennis Begins Season with Defeat To Saint Joseph's
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's tennis (2-2) got their spring season underway at Legacy Tennis Courts as they competed against Division I Saint Joseph's University (2-8). The Rams looked to get off on the right foot, but fell to the Hawks 4-1.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Rams took the doubles point as Anthony Moukarzel and Enrique Soto Ballester won their doubles contest in the second spot. After Saint Joseph's won in the first position, Jules Thibault and Antonio Mateos Melenchon secured the third doubles win, giving Jefferson the early point advantage going into the singles competition
- The Hawks began to rack up wins in the singles matches, taking the second, fourth, third, and first positions to earn the four points for the win
- The fifth and sixth spots were not finished, which resulted in a 4-1 defeat for Jefferson
