Men's Basketball Edges Wilmington in Thrilling Finish
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University's men's basketball team (13-10, 7-6 CACC) secured a narrow 79-77 victory over Wilmington University (6-18, 4-8 CACC) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup on Wednesday night at the Gallagher Center.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The game began with both teams trading baskets, leading to a tight first half. Jefferson managed to gain a slight edge, heading into halftime with a 37-35 lead.
- In the second half, the Rams and Wildcats continued their back-and-forth battle. Jefferson maintained a slim advantage throughout, but Wilmington remained within striking distance.
- With just seconds remaining, the Wildcats had an opportunity to tie or take the lead, but the Rams' defense held firm, securing the two-point victory.
