Women's Volleyball Taken Down in Four by Goldey-Beacom
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's volleyball (8-11, 4-6) looked to make a run for a home playoff spot as they went up against Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) South opponent Goldey-Beacom College (12-11, 6-4) in Wednesday night action. The Rams took the first set but dropped the next three as they fell 3-1 to the Lightning.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson was down in the first set in multiple instances but used a four and two five-point rallies to earn a 25-18 win and get ahead of Goldey-Beacom
- The second set had both teams fighting to go ahead as the Rams trailed by one near the end. They ultimately fell 25-23 to the Lightning
- Goldey-Beacom went to take set three 25-16, which included a seven point swing, and set four 25-18 that had the Lightning earn as high as an 11-point lead
