Five Different Scorers Push #25 Women's Soccer to a 6-0 Win Against St. Thomas Aquinas on Senior Day 

PHILADELPHIA – The #25 ranked Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (3-0) controlled the entire match on both ends while they had five different scorers as the Rams rolled into a 6-0 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas College (0-2-2) in Saturday afternoon non-conference action. Jefferson recognized their seniors before the match on Senior Day. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

• The Rams and Spartans had it in a stallmate in the first 25 minutes 

• Nikki Dedes started the scoring attack as she had a goal at the 26:12 mark, opening the flood gates for Jefferson 

• Dillan Sorino followed behind as a kick that led to the ball being in the air allowed for her to hit a bicycle kick to the corner of the net for a 2-0 lead at the 31:13 mark 

• A corner kick for Jefferson by Kiery Spatz saw Evelin Ventura-Garcia hit a header to join the scoring action with her teammates at the 35th minute. 

• Alexa Callahan scored her own goal in the 37:49 mark, making it a four goal advantage for the Rams 

• Sorino finished the first half with a goal at the 41:40 mark to have the Rams head in the break up 5-0 

• Jefferson finished their scoring barrage as Anna Carpenter found the back of the net in the 54:11 mark, securing the 6-0 lead 

• The Spartans made more offense in the second half, taking nine shots. Liv Riddel made seven saves in the game, six all coming from the last 45 minutes of gameplay

Before the game, the Rams recognized Riddel, Carpenter, Madison Zachwieja, Hannah Potocki, Abby Lytle, Helina Macchia, Ryan Matthews, and Quinn Keenan as Jefferson honored their seniors on Senior Day.
