Men's Soccer Ends Close Matchup with 2-0 Defeat to Post 

WATERBURY, Conn. - Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (7-3-2, 3-2-1) had a strong first half with only allowing three shots and no goals in the first half against the defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) champions, but two second half goals saw the Rams drop their conference matchup to Post University (6-3-3, 4-0-2) in Saturday afternoon action. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

• First half saw both defenses show up, with four total shots allowed and zero goals by both squads. John Nelson had two of his five saves in the first half 

• The Eagles broke the tie in the second half at the 52:39 mark as a Francisco Sousa goal put Post up 1-0 

• The Eagles added another goal by Len Fliss in the 79th minute mark to be up 2-0 over Jefferson 

• The Rams looked to come back, but saw all 10 of their attempts fall short as Jefferson gave up the CACC match to Post 2-0.
