Jefferson Men's Soccer Falls to Wilmington University 3-2 

WILMINGTON, DE - Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer (7-4-2) (3-3-1) competed against Wilmington University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Wednesday, October 16 where they dropped the match to the Wildcats. 


WHAT HAPPENED 
 

• The Rams started off strong with a goal in the first five minutes scored by Diego Guzman assisted with team effort making that Guzman's 9th goal of the season 

• The Wildcats returned with an aggressive shot taken by Theo Faillon that was saved by Jeffersons John Nelson  

•  The Wildcats continued to push their offense with more shots taken by Diego Ramirez, Michiharu Takanashi, and Faillon again all blcoked by the Rams  

• Jefferson returned some heat with another shot from Guzman, and Mateo Infante, saved by Charlie Phillips  

• The first half ended with the Rams protecting their 1-0 lead  

• The Wildcats quickly answered with their first goal made by Jhamaleek Porter, assisted by Tsubasa Abe  

• One minute later in the 55:34 minute Faillon scored the Wildcats second goal making that his 11th of the season  

• Nelson continues to defend for the Rams collecting another two saves before Guzman ties up the match 2-2 with his second goal of the game, assisted by Gabe Paz for his 10th goal of the season  

• The battle continues until Wilmington responds with another goal from Takanashi, assisted by Alex Tarway to take the lead 

• Both teams battle it out until the Wildcats claim the 3-2 victory over the Rams
