Jefferson Women's Soccer Claims a Huge 5-0 Victory Over Post University  

WATERBURY, CT - Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (9-0-1) (6-0) competed against Post University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Friday, October 11. The Rams dominated the match securing a 5-0 victory.  
 

WHAT HAPPENED 

  • The Rams worked hard in the first half with 17 shots to the Eagles 1  

  • The first half ends with Jefferson leading 1-0 over Post 

  • After a foul in the beginning of the second half the Rams took full advantage of a penalty kick where Dedes knocks the second goal in for Jefferson  

  • Sorino continues playing with quick aggressive offense keeping the Rams drive alive  

  • Success continues for the Rams after a goal kick from Aryn Nisbet, where Lesko takes the interception and scores the third goal of the match in the low left corner, making that her second goal of the match  

  • The Rams do not let up with Dedes scoring her second goal of the half as well only 20 seconds after the third assisted by Alexa Callahan and Sophia Henry, putting the Rams ahead 4-0  

  • Henry continues to dominate the Rams defense after stealing a ball from the Eagles, allowing Nogami to take a shot on goal that is missed high  

  • Yeager works the ball down the field so Jane Devoll can pass to the left wing where Abby Cargile is waiting to make an amazing 5th goal for the Rams  

  • The match concludes with Jefferson taking the huge 5-0 victory over Post University
