Men's Soccer Drops Road Contest Against Southern New Hampshire
HOOKSET, N.H. - The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (0-2) traveled on the road in Sunday afternoon non-conference action where they would fall 2-0 to Southern New Hampshire University (2-0) at Mark A. Quellette Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Penmen would get both of their scores in the first half of the game, with Phillip Hermann getting his shot into the right side of the net at the 25th minute mark to get Southern New Hampshire up 1-0. Jefferson would begin to hold them up on the defensive side as they would only allow two shots for the rest of the first half. But a penalty in the box would set up Luca Shubitidze for a penalty kick, which he would convert to give the Penmen a 2-0 lead.
The Rams would try to get on the offensive in the second half, as they would outshoot Southern New Hampshire 7-4, but the Penmen would record four saves from Jurgen Huber. Matteo Crescente would have two saves in the second half for the Rams.
