Men's Soccer Falls in Stormy Matchup Against Shippensburg
SHIPPENSBURG, PA. - The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (0-3) traveled on the road as they would fall to Shippensburg University (2-0) 1-0 on a cloudy Saturday afternoon game.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half saw a defensive battle by both teams, with only seven shots taken in the first 45 minutes with neither squad able to take the lead during that period. The second half saw the Raiders get ahead as Nathan Wheldon scored in the 55th minute to give Shippensburg the 1-0 lead.
The Rams would push to even the score as they had two shots after the score, but the teams would have to pause action on a weather delay. The game would be called in the end, finishing the contest to a 1-0 defeat for the Rams
