PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team dropped its 2023 season opener at Ravenhill Field on Thursday, falling to West Chester by a 2-0 score.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Rams converted a penalty kick in the 10
th minute for an early advantage. The Rams outshot West Chester, 3-2 in the first half with a 3-0 edge in corner kicks but could not find the back of the net. Jefferson continued to create opportunities in the second half, earning four corner kicks, but managed just one shot on target. The visitors added an insurance goal in the 73
rd minute, finishing a cross with a header at the left post.
