Four Lacrosse Players Selected To All-CACC Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team had four players named to the All-CACC Team, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced on Tuesday.
 
Faith Hardy was chosen to the All-CACC First Team while Erin Avanzato, Ellie Lefton, and Iris Gluck were members of the All-CACC Second Team. It is the third straight All-CACC honor for both Avanzato and Lefton.
 
Hardy ranks sixth in the CACC with 1.35 caused turnovers per game. She leads the third-best defensive unit in the conference that allows 11.35 goals per game. Hardy recorded a season-high six caused turnovers versus Bridgeport and has scored one goal this season. She has also collected 30 ground balls.
 
Avanzato is the conference leader in draw controls per game with 8.82, which also ranks third in Division II. She is eighth in the CACC in goals (51) and 11th in points (67). Avanzato posted highs of seven goals versus Post and 10 points against Bridgeport. She was named the CACC Player of the Week one time.
 
Lefton ranks second in the CACC and Division II with 65 assists. Her 96 points are fourth-best in the conference and sixth in the nation. Lefton had season highs of six goals at Alliance and eight assists and 11 points versus Wilmington. She earned CACC Player of the Week honors one time.
 
Gluck has totaled 21 goals, five assists, 29 ground balls, 40 draw controls, and 15 caused turnovers during her rookie campaign. She produced season highs of three goals (three times) and four points (twice). Gluck had top performances of four caused turnovers versus Mercy, five ground balls against Wilmington, and eight draw controls at Alliance.
