Men's Soccer Suffers Defeat to Caldwell
PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (3-6-0, 2-3-0) held a strong defense through the first 80 minutes, but Caldwell University (7-1-1, 3-1-1) found the net four times in the last 10 minutes as the Rams fell 4-0 to the Cougars in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this Saturday afternoon.
WHAT HAPPENED
Jefferson and Caldwell played tough against each other, forcing plays by the other and holding a strong defensive line in the first half. The Cougars had nine shots in the first half, almost half of the Ram's five. But
Matteo Crescente had three first half saves to keep the game scoreless at the half.
It looked the same through the first 35 minutes of the second period, with neither team getting into the net. They would eventually make it 3-0 at the 86
th minute, and a penalty kick would make it 4-0 for the visiting Cougars.
