Late Goal Downs Men's Soccer at Georgian Court

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (3-7-0, 2-4-0) were tied with the Lions for majority of the game, but a goal at the 85th minute downed the Rams to Georgian Court University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action this Tuesday afternoon.

WHAT HAPPENED
The Rams held on defense in the first half as the Lions took 10 shots in that period, with four saves accumulated by Matteo Crescente. Jefferson had five of their own, but neither team found the net as they went into the break still scoreless.

Both teams began to have urgency, trying to get on the scoreboard. Jefferson would replicate Georgian Courts shot count as they had 10 attempts to the Lions six in the second half. The game looked to fall into a draw with the last six minutes almost falling by, but a foul inside the box put Georgian Court into a penalty kick position at the 85th minute mark. They would convert and hold onto the 1-0 lead to the last few minutes of the game. Jefferson had one last shot with under a minute left, but the Lions goalie made the save, downing the Rams.
