PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (1-1) dropped its home opener to Le Moyne (2-0), 1-0, on Sunday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Each team recorded a corner kick early on before the Dolphins controlled play steadily for 15 minutes, tallying five shots, including one off the right post, and three corner kicks but coming up empty. The Rams countered with a corner kick of their own and three shots but the game remained scoreless after the first half.
 
In the second period, Le Moyne's offense continued to threaten with three shots in the opening 15 minutes. In the 63^rd minute, the attack paid off as the Dolphins earned a corner kick and the ball was headed into the goal for a 1-0 Le Moyne advantage. Jefferson tried to push forward through the rest of the contest but the Dolphins' defense conceded just one off-target shot.
