PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University baseball team (22-19, 13-9 CACC) dropped the first contest but came back to defeat visiting Felician in game two of a CACC doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
GAME ONE – L, 10-6
Both teams had opportunities to score in the first two frames but left a combined seven runners on base. The Golden Falcons broke through for a big inning in the third, bringing home six runs. Felician crushed a trio of homers in the inning.
The Golden Falcons upped their lead to eight in the fourth, scoring on a double and a groundout. The Rams answered with five runs in the bottom half to get within three (8-5).
Efrain Santiago came home on an error,
Ryan Sawyer singled in a run, and
Arturo Figueroa smashed a three-run home run.
After a scoreless fifth, Felician added an RBI single in the sixth to make it 9-5. It became 10-5 after a wild pitch plated a run for the Golden Falcons in the seventh. Jefferson's final run came on an RBI double by Santiago in the bottom of the seventh.

GAME TWO – W, 5-0
Jem Sisco hurled a complete-game shutout in the nightcap, dominating the Felician lineup with 12 strikeouts and allowing just four hits. He whiffed eight consecutive hitters at one point.
The Rams' offense got going in the second with three runs.
Alex Gonzalez knocked in
Efrain Santiago with a base hit and
Lucas DeStefano mashed a two-run homer. Santiago smacked his own two-run shot in the third to make it 5-0 and that was plenty for Sisco to work with.

Saturday's results set up a showdown between Jefferson and Chestnut Hill on the final day of the regular season, Sunday, May 1. The Rams sit in third place in the South Division, two games ahead of the Griffins. Jefferson needs just one victory to clinch the final playoff spot while Chestnut Hill requires wins in both games of the doubleheader to steal the berth via the head-to-head tiebreaker. First pitch from Alumni Field is scheduled for 12 p.m.
