Baseball Struggles Offensively, Drops Two At USciences

GAME ONE – L, 3-2
The game remained scoreless until the fourth inning when the Devils took a 1-0 lead with a sacrifice fly. Another sac fly in the sixth increased the USciences advantage to 2-0.

The Rams were held in check offensively through the first six frames, recording just two hits, but broke through in the seventh. Arturo Figueroa led off with a homer and Efrain Santiago later hit a game-tying RBI single.

In the eighth, the Devils regained the upper hand, registering a two-out RBI single to take a 3-2 lead. In the ninth, Jefferson put the tying run on with one out but the runner was stranded at first base as USciences finished off the win.
