PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team (9-5, 7-1 CACC) suffered its first conference loss of the season on Tuesday, falling 23-10 to visiting Georgian Court.
GAMEPLAY
The two squads went back and forth throughout the opening quarter with the difference never surpassing one. The teams were even at five heading into the second. The Lions then took over with four goals in a row to go ahead 9-5 with 8:58 on the clock. The margin was four (11-7) with under three minutes to go when GCU strung together three tallies to take a 14-7 advantage at halftime.
After
Lilly Kull got the Rams within six (14-8) in the third, Georgian Court pulled away with the next five goals to make it 19-8.
Erin Campbell had the last marker of the quarter for Jefferson and the score was 19-9 after three. The Lions outscored the Rams, 4-1, in the final period.

Jefferson is tied for second place with Dominican. The Rams and Chargers square off in the final regular season game on Saturday, April 23 at 7 p.m. at Dominican. The winner will secure the second seed in the CACC Tournament and a bye to the semifinals on Friday, April 29. The loser will drop to the third seed and host a first-round matchup on Tuesday, April 26 at 3:30 p.m.
